Our History

Xi Kappa Sigma founded three days before Martial Law by the Eighteen founders at Mindanao State University, Main Campus, Marawi City on September 19, 1972.

Xi Kappa Sigma Forefathers lead by Prof. Enlai T. Entar aimed is to make an instrument the organization for the betterment brotherhood and sisterhood between the Christian and Muslim students in Mindanao State University.

Their Objectives is to support government policies on maintenance of peace and order by postering closer and harmonious relationship among its members, regardless of tribal, racial or religious affiliation, and shall endeavor to further establish good relations and cooperation with other individuals, organizations, private and government agencies, and such other group or groups that are willing to establish friendship and cooperation with the organization and its members.
Now, Xi Kappa Sigma produced more than 50,000 thousand student’s leaders, leaders and academe in 91 school campuses throughout country its purpose as follows:

  1. To encourage leadership trainings, efficient services and excellent scholastic standing.
  2. To encourage attainment of high academic achievements.
  3. To promote social and economic welfare for the members, their families and their communities.
  4. To ensure the manifestation of the kernels of friendship, unity and cooperation.
  5. To encourage virtues, humanitarianism and solidarity.

Xi Kappa Sigma declared their international day on February 22, 2025 to spread throughout the world their advocacy in Strengthen the scholarship of our members, promote brotherhood and sisterhood, develop leadership, Engage University Colleges with community service and the community Build the character and integrity of our members in the tenet of Friendship, Unity and Cooperation.

Our Purpose

  1. To promote the existence and welfare of undergraduates and to cultivate at large a wholesome respect for their activities and achievements.
  2. To Honor outstanding members through privilege of membership extended as a reward for technical achievement and appreciation for the best in community service.
  3. To stimulate campus leadership and promulgate an uncompromising respect through the medium of gracious conduct, good taste and unswerving loyalty.
